Frustration- turning limes into Margaritas

Yesterday, I was confronted with the idea of "frustration". We all feel it at one point or another.
What does it do for us? For some, we become bitter old grouches who can't stand to be around anyone who is happy. This is considered a problem-response behavior. I am choosing to take a different approach. I believe that frustration (or desperation) can be a driving force of success.

I get frustrated with life easily and lose my patience.... a constant variable in my life that I must
work on. The beginning of PINX' IT was because I had frustrations in my life... job, money, bosses who scream at you because they didn't get enough sleep, and the list goes on. With that list on of things and God's help, I am creating a dream that I have always wanted to walk in; to own my own business, have flexible hours, be known in the world for something, and contribute to the family income.

My thoughts to you about frustration:
Don't let your frustrations make you bitter and envious. Let them drive you to a place of success. Don't complain because you can't fix something. Find a new way around or a better way to face it. Drive into life instead of letting it plow into you. Let circumstances make you stronger.

A man once was given thousands of acres and he believed himself to be very blessed as he had always dreamed of owning a farm; Until he realized that it was covered with lime trees. He tried many times to rid the property of the lime trees to no avail. Every time he took a lime tree out, two grew back in its place. Instead of seeing a blessing, the man thought he had been cursed. One day, while wallowing in the misery, he decided to add a little lime to his drink. The rest his history.... and the margarita was born.

Take this with you: Turn the limes of your life into margaritas and let the frustration of the situation drive you to a place of creativity and invention!

Sleepless

I can't sleep. Why? A tsunami of ideas. Ideas about life, marketing strategies, kids, money,
business ideas.... yeah, that's the latest one. I have always wanted to start my own business. About ten years ago it was a bakery. Then a horseshoe supply. (my husband was a farrier at the time)
Then on to a Cheesecake "factory" and next a Dessert bar. (That one has been by far my favorite.) So what stopped me? Fear. Fear of failure. Fear of rejection. Fear of the unknown future. About a month or two ago, I decided to stop living in that fear. Today, I am planning, designing, creating, and birthing a new business. PINX' IT. A place where fashion is fun and funky and makes you feel like there is joy in the world. Where each piece of jewelry was designed and delivered with a special message from the ONE above. Where fashion doesn't have to cost an arm, two legs, and your first born. This "birthing" will most definitely not be easy since I already work full time and go to school full time. (UoP graduate 2010- woop, woop) But it will be an adventure... wild and hairy and full of memories that I will remember forever. Join me on this adventure of life and PINX'IT Fashion!
